SIR Stage37: BETWEEN EVENTS
The quiet that envelops SIR Stage37 between events is contrast in extremis. Absent the swarms of catering staff, stagehands, production PA’s and, of course, the hundreds of happy quests, the venue settles into a dimmed repose, awaiting its next transformation.
It’s this state that most visitors don’t get to see. Of course there are the intermittent site visits for future events and the occasional drop-ins by curious folks walking up the block from Javits, who decide, on a whim, to ring the bell for a quick peek.
But SIR Stage37 at rest has an aura that’s at once peaceful and at the same time poised for activity, as if to say, “Let’s go! Put me to use! Fill me with noise and excitement.” The blank canvas before bold strokes of color are dashed on it by creative planners and producers.
As we enter the summer months, we thought we would share with viewers some of the between event mood at SIR Stage37. An open invitation to have you all return for great events in the days, weeks, and months to come.
