FARMHOUSE IN THE FRENCH ALPS at LES FERMES DE MARIE


Les Fermes de Marie, or Marie’s farmhouses, is laid out as a small hamlet of high-mountain pasture farms several centuries old, lying in a 4-acre park in the heart of the charming French Alps town of Megève.

The nine interlinked chalets form a haven. Each of the farms was dismantled, every piece of wood was numbered and then reassembled on concrete frames in line with the heritage and the traditions of the area. FARM DINNERS at CHATHAM BARS INN


Join a farm dinner at the Chatham Bars Inn Farm in the nearby Cape Cod town of Brewster for an unforgettable alfresco dining experience under twinkling lights surrounded by the beauty of the natural landscape.
Farm Dinners are held each Wednesday through Sept. 7. At Saint James Paris' new Bellefeuille restaurant, in Paris' 16th Arr., Chef Julien Dumas was recently awarded a Michelin star for his eco-responsible cuisine. Dumas brings in fresh-grown organic fruits and vegetables from the hotel's farm just south of Paris via an electric van. Beehives in the hotel's gardens provide the Pastry Chef with  Paris-made honey for her creations. For his other ingredients, Dumas has cultivated relationships with carefully selected artisans whose authentic methods respect the environment. Market gardeners, fish farmers and fishmongers, all share his high standards of excellence. Guests and the public can enjoy Dumas' creations on the new outdoor Terrace restaurant or in the Bellefeuille dining room for his 7- or 9-course dinners.
