BEGINNINGS Serves Record Number of New Families During 2022-23

Our fiscal year, which ended June 30. 2023, gives us the chance to look at our goals and objectives and plan for the future. BEGINNINGS is excited to report that we served a record number of NEW FAMILIES during 2022-23 -- 588, in fact. We served a total of 1,350 families in 90 counties across North Carolina, taking us back to our pre-COVID levels of service.
The majority of our families are coming to us when their children are birth to three months old and hearing loss is detected; however, we are also seeing increases in children between six and 10 years old, and in our Transition to Adulthood program, which is defined as 11 to 21 years old.
For information about all our services, visit our website at ncbegin.org or ncbeginespañol.org.
