HISPANIC HERITAGE CELEBRATION

The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber (Hispanic Chamber) will hold the annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration to celebrate the many contributions that Latinos have made to the United States.

At this event, the Hispanic Chamber will present ¡BRAVO! Awards. These awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations that are role models and have contributed to the economic and social advancement of Latinos in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The event also will include a Silent Auction to benefit the Hispanic Chamber's Latino Scholarship Program, and recognition of the Hispanic Chamber's graduating Latino Leadership Class VII and the incoming Class VIII Latino Leadership Class.

Hispanic Chamber in the Community

Gale Castillo founder and president of the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber presented a talk about her personal journey as a business and community leader, and how the Hispanic Chamber is working to ensure that people have access to education, jobs, and business development opportunities.

The presentation was hosted by Latinos Unidos Organization (LUO), Oregon Health & Science University's employee resource group for Latino students, faculty, and staff.
