A number of activities will happen on Earth Day in the Berkshires, and all are welcome to join in! Some require pre-registration; others you need to just show up. A handful include Stop-in Saturday—Earth Day Extravaganza at the Berkshire Athenaeum; Volunteer for Earth Day at BEAT’s Environmental Leadership & Education Center; Earth Day Bird Walk at Arrowhead; and Earth Day Guided Family Walk in Hinsdale. More info

Volunteer Fair

Fri Apr 21, noon–3 p.m.
Berkshire United Way and Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires are holding an in-person Spring Volunteer Fair at Crissey Farm in Great Barrington. Thirty nonprofit organizations will share their mission, programs, and volunteer needs. Municipal volunteers also will be on hand to share experiences and a brochure outlining town board and committee descriptions. More info

Jazz Series

The West Stockbridge Historical Society Jazz Series begins its 2023 season with the Brian Patneaude Quartet, featuring Patneaude on saxophone, Rob Lundquist on keyboard, Jarod Greico on bass, and Danny Whelchel on drums. Patneaude is a mainstay in the Northeast jazz scene, leading his own quartet and enjoying lengthy tenures with numerous area ensembles. More info

Close Encounters With Music (CEWM) presents From Bach Brandenburg to Appalachian Spring with the Manhattan Chamber Players.
