WELCOME TO NOAH'S ARK PRESCHOOL!
Dear Families and Friends,
As we say goodbye to September, the first month of school at Noah's Ark is complete. Our students and teachers have comfortably settled into their new classrooms and routines. We look forward to October and all the fun events with the fall season.
THANK YOU! Thank you for all your generous donations to Noah's Ark Preschool from the Back to School Teacher Wish List! Here is the link to our Fall Teacher Wish List! Check it out—it is full of excellent activities made of natural materials, which we teachers love!
There is no Covenant Kids after-school program this Thursday, October 3. On the first Thursday of every month, we have our monthly teacher meetings following 12:30 dismissal. Thank you for allowing this time to empower us to grow, create, and teach!

Junior Twos Class
We finished our farm theme with more Old MacDonald Had a Farm circle time activities, painting jumbo farm animals, learning their names and sounds, and making homes for them in our barns. The children were also very interested when Mr. Ian brought his tool bag into the gym to fix the teeter-totter. They were so excited when Mr. Ian let them each have a turn using tools to fix it! We might need to add some tool activities to our classroom. Now, we will be moving on to our Apple theme. The dramatic play area is set up as an apple orchard, and we will work on color skills with red, green, and yellow apples. We will be tasting apples, too - a great way to kick off the fall season! Click here for our weekly photo show! ❤ Ms. Sheryl, Mr. Ian, & Ms. Fiona

Junior Threes ClassIt was another fun week in the Junior Threes Class! We continued to learn with our Farm theme this week, and the highlight was "muddying up" the animals with brown paint and then washing them clean! We also painted paper plate pigs and cows! In our small groups, we worked to piece together a giant farm puzzle, matched animals with Farm Bingo, and practiced recognizing the square shape. We are still helping support the students with the transition of saying goodbye at morning arrivals. We continue encouraging complete independence in the bathroom, including pulling clothes down and up, sitting, flushing, and washing hands. We appreciate parents' help in practicing these skills at home as well! We look forward to learning more about our Apple theme next week! Click here to see our weekly photos. ❤ Ms. Lauren, Ms. Monica, & Mr. Ian

Pre-Kindergarten ClassPre-K was busy this week exploring all things fall! We had fun reading, singing, and talking about squirrels. We continued discussing our observations of the leaves in our community changing color. We strengthened our fine motor skills by using droppers to make the color orange with red & yellow watercolors. Students were delighted by this process and what they created! Our letter this week was F, and we started our number books. We finished the week by celebrating Jack’s birthday with fantastic rainbow popsicles! Click here for our photos. ❤ Ms. Sarah, Ms. Natasha, & Ms. Jen
