APPLY FOR THE MANHEIM-STERLING UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PRIZE
The Manheim-Sterling Undergraduate Research Prize is designed to support and encourage outstanding mentored undergraduate research and creative work. SMPA awards two prizes each academic year, one for each major. The 2018-19 Manheim-Sterling Prize Recipients were Grant Sobetski and Jack Nassetta. The application deadline is Tuesday, October 15 at 11:59 p.m.

BEA SCHOLARSHIPS AND PRIZES
BEA is awarding over $50,000 in scholarships & $25,000 in cash prizes for undergraduate and graduate students.

Passionate about environmental journalism? Interested in studying abroad in Belize for spring break? Join Dr. Imani M. Cheers for her trip and learn about digital storytelling, ocean conservation, coastal erosion, service-learning and Garifuna/Mayan culture.

Peter Loge authored the articles “The link between poor decisions about money and ethics,” by Campaigns and Elections, and “How we argue about what happens next matters,” by The Hill.
Frank Sesno moderated a discussion on the intersectionality of gun violence and youth involvement in politics featuring March for Our Lives activist, David Hogg. Sesno was also quoted in the Washington Post article “As interviews get tougher, Team Trump doubles down on avoidance.’’
Silvio Waisbord released a new book, The Communication Manifesto, which examines and makes a call for public scholarship in communication and media studies.
