CFE Spring 2026 Educational Technology Webinars

The CFE Spring 2026 Educational Technology Webinars are focused on design principles and the effective integration of educational technology into teaching practices.
These sessions support faculty in developing engaging, learner-centered instructional strategies and introduce tools to enhance interaction, collaboration, and content delivery when needed.
The sessions will be recorded and provided on the CFE website for faculty as resources. Each session includes templates, examples, and optional follow-up consultations.

Peer Assessements of Teaching & CFE Consultations
|
The CFE offers peer assessments of teaching to all regular-status, full-time faculty in SMHS. This program is designed to enhance faculty teaching skills in the classroom, in conferences and small groups, or in clinical teaching at the bedside, and assessments can also be included in teaching portfolios used in the academic promotion process. Peer reviews are conducted by Master Teacher graduate volunteers and are confidential. Faculty interested in a peer review or other consultations should complete the form below.

Dr. Maranda Ward Honored with 2026 GSEHD Alumni Achievement Award
|
Congratulations to Dr. Maranda Ward, who has been named the 2026 recipient of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) Dean’s Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award. This honor recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to their field and community.
Dr. Ward is celebrated for her leadership in advancing health equity locally and globally, as well as her commitment to developing future leaders across education, public health, and health sciences. She will be recognized at the GSEHD Celebration on May 16, 2026, at the Smith Center on the Foggy Bottom campus.

Peer Review for Health Professions Education (HPE) Grants
The Academy of Educators offers a peer grant review consultation service for SMHS faculty preparing health professions education (HPE) grants. This service provides targeted feedback on regional and national grants, along with an optional follow-up consultation. Faculty must submit their request at least 6 weeks before the grant submission deadline.
