Happy last week of classes! We hope your Thanksgiving mini-break went well and that you are eagerly looking forward to the Winter break and upcoming Spring 2026 semester. We wish you all a holiday season full of opportunities to relax and spend time with family, friends, animals, personal projects, and whomever or whatever makes you happy.
This year’s International Education Week (17-21 Nov 2025), organized by LCSL instructors in collaboration with UIC’s Office of Global Engagement, involved plenty events in GH 308: all event hosts really rose to the occasion with crafts, food, and fun! Check out some photos from the events below.
Thank you to all the wonderful mentor instructors who have welcomed Language Learning Assistants (LLAs) into their Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish 101-104 classes! Mentors support and uplift LLAs in numerous ways, which helps upper-level language students improve and professionalize their language skills and feel more connected to the language and culture and to UIC as well.
Although language events in GH 308 have concluded for the year, we look forward to seeing what you have planned for January and beyond: email us at lclc@uic.edu if you would like to plan a weekly conversation hour, or if you have ideas for a special event!
Congratulations on another successful semester, and see you in 2026!
