Same-Store Sales Up 1.56% During Valentine’s Week
Independent grocers reported that same-store sales rose 1.56 percent during the 3rd week of February, a slight decline over the week before, but still an improvement from the same period last year.
This gain was in line with expectations, considering Valentine’s day is a boost in any retail calendar. However, the foot traffic did not see a significant improvement compared to the previous week or rather at the same time frame in 2019.
