The form will ask you to select your district's qualification rules, dates, tabulation software, and the district awards you will distribute, as well as whether your speech events will be held live or asynchronously. Important District Updates- NEW! Earn Points for Scrimmages: We are piloting a rule for 2020-2021 that allows students to earn up to 75 merit points for intrasquad and intersquad competitions that do not have the required four schools participating. Tabulation software and the NSDA site will not regulate this; it will be the affirmative duty of coaches to ensure what is posted is in line with this rule.
- District Tournament Rules: Based on your feedback from the District Chair Town Hall, we have updated the manual to clarify that districts that opt to do live speech at their district tournament may do Duo Interpretation asynchronously for safety reasons. We also clarified that a district may choose to do their speech events using a hybrid asynchronous/synchronous model. View the updates in the Unified Manual.
- Mark Your Calendar! Download the updated District Chair Deadlines to see this year's upcoming deadlines.
