We are excited to welcome parents and families to campus for Welcome and Move-In. We have posted a robust list of Welcome Weekend activities for parents and families of new students on our New Parents & Families site. 

This informal reception is an excellent opportunity to connect with other parents and family members and meet the NYU leaders dedicated to creating the best student experience possible. To accommodate for busy schedules, we are hosting three sessions on both August 26 and August 27. Select the session that works best for you and your family by using the registration links below.

This session will help parents and families encourage their students to maintain a growth mindset during the first weeks of classes and share specific strategies to support their journey. We will also share an overview of the Welcome Week events.

This week, your student will receive a newsletter with information on different opportunities to connect with other students, including NYU Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment and joining the NYU Welcome Discord social platform. Remind your student of important upcoming dates and deadlines, such as completing health requirements and training, including the “Think About It” course by the August 30 deadline.

This is a great opportunity for parents and families to be a compass by guiding your student. The NYU Student Health Center cannot disclose this information to parents. However, students can check their status in the Student Health Center Portal by following our step-by-step guide.
