Ukraine yarn mural now on display at The MAC

Westminster Mayor Nancy McNally joined several other volunteers to help assemble a yarn mural and show their support for peace in Ukraine. The mural is based on a design submitted by Artem Varakuta, a 16-year-old Ukrainian boy. Westminster is one of three cities nationwide to display a yarn mural in partnership with Love Across the USA.

The yarn mural is now complete and on display outside of The MAC (3295 W 72nd Ave) in Historic Westminster.

How to particiate in the Ralston House Pinwheel Garden fundraiser

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the City is proud to support the Ralston House Pinwheel Garden fundraiser. Donations will be accepted at all City Recreation Facilities through May 1. Each $5 donation in support of children will be acknowledged with the planting of a blue and silver pinwheel in a pinwheel garden. Donations of $35 will receive a certificate for a free round of golf at Legacy Ridge or Walnut Creek while supplies last (valid Mon-Thurs anytime and after 1 p.m. on Fridays).

Plant trees and save money with the ReLeaf Westy Tree Rebate Program

This program is designed to encourage residents to plant trees to improve their own property, as well as to enhance the community. The Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department offers a $60 rebate for trees planted by Westminster residential property owners that meet the program requirements.
