Summer Job Diaries: Former Paralegal Returns to Big Law Roots to Hone Research Skills
Emma Kondon ’27 has returned to Kirkland & Ellis as a summer intern after working at the firm as a litigation paralegal before enrolling at LLS. Now, with a year of law school under her belt, she’s eager to take on assignments that allow her to apply what she has learned in class. "Working on actual cases is teaching me how to tailor my research to the specific needs of each matter, and the hands-on practice is helping me become more efficient with my time," she writes in her 2025 Summer Job Diary entry. LLS Faculty & Students Invited to Participate in Diplomacy Lab
The office of International Programs and Partnerships invites faculty and their students to participate in the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomacy Lab. Over the course of a semester, and in collaboration with State Department officials from around the world, faculty guide students on course projects solicited by the State Dept. Topics vary widely and include disciplines across schools and colleges (incl. computer programming, health, data analytics, history, politics, economics, law, urban planning, psychology and MORE!). All LMU faculty are welcome to engage in this exciting opportunity! Submit a bid for a Diplomacy Lab project for your fall 2025 courses now; proposals reviewed on a rolling basis.
