Join us for the next Primary Care Education Series on Thursday, October 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nationwide Children’s Conference Center (520 Butterfly Gardens Drive) or virtually. 

The program will feature case-based discussions on pediatric pain management. Our expert panel will answer your questions, highlight common knowledge gaps and share evidence-based recommendations for appropriate interventions. 

Registration will be open to all primary care providers across central Ohio and beyond. Dinner and parking will be provided to in-person attendees.

Partners For Kids’ August quarterly webinar covered the latest in asthma management, led by Lisa Ulrich, MD. Attendees learned how to accurately diagnose and grade asthma severity, match therapies to patient needs and apply new guidance on the use of as-needed inhaled steroids. The session also highlighted when advanced treatments may be necessary.

Join us for the annual CPP Coding Webinar with Linda Parsi, MD, on Thursday, October 23, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees will learn when and how to use code, review updates to the new 2025 Telemedicine Codes and more. 

SMART for Asthma Resource Now Available  

Partners For Kids has developed a new resource for primary care providers on the Single Maintenance and Reliever Therapy (SMART) for Asthma. This new resource includes information on the benefits of SMART, max doses, key points and scripting for providers. The resource has been added to our Asthma Toolkit for Primary Care, where you can find other helpful tools for your practice. 

Help Families Access Free Children’s Books – Available in Bilingual Editions 

In recognition of International Literacy Day this month, share Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library with the families you serve. This free program mails one book per month to children, ages 0 to 5. Many books are available in bilingual editions to support early literacy development in multiple languages.  

Proof Forms Now Available for Primary Care Providers

The Provider Incentive Program (PIP) Proof Forms are now available on the Partners For Kids’ Provider Portal for a limited time. These lists show patients who may have met a PIP metric in 2024, however, no Medicaid claim was received. Practices can verify and claim data by reviewing the list and submitting appropriate proof to a Partners For Kids’ Provider Relations Specialist. For more information, please contact your provider relations team. 

Save the Date: Oral Health in Primary Care Webinar

Are you interested in learning more about the importance of pediatric dental care and how to integrate it into your practice? Save the date for the “Oral Health in Primary Care,” webinar on Tuesday, October 14, from noon to 1 p.m. Dental hygiene educator, Andrea Workman, RDH, will share essential oral health practices, the impact on pediatric populations and more. This session will have 1 CME credit available and will satisfy your annual Partners For Kids’ participation requirement.

Primary care practices can now earn free MOC Part IV, CME and CNE credit, while improving disaster preparedness in your office. Learn how to prepare and help families respond to everything from power outages to natural disasters, with a special focus on pediatric needs. 

Register for the First Behavioral Health Training on October 10

Join us for the first Partners For Kids’ Behavioral Health Training, “Partnering with Prescribing Providers.” The training will be on Friday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and will cover topics around different types of prescribers, components of a psychiatric assessment, diagnostic categories and common medications. The deadline to register is Friday, October 3
