National Day of Prayer

Families are invited to join students and staff for the National Day of Prayer from 7:30-7:50 a.m. on Thursday, May 4 in the courtyard.

Spring International Event

The Multi-Language Learners Club has been hard at work and is nearly ready to show off their skills.

At 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 19 in the Douglas E. Bond Gymnasium, there will be an Elementary Choral Concert, including scriptures and songs in other languages. There will also be high school worship arts and a multi-language reading of the gospel in 10 languages represented on our campus.

There will also be tables set up around the gym featuring the different nations and the Art Showcase will still be on display.

We hope you will join us for this exciting night.

Annual drama production is coming up

The Sound Christian Academy Drama Program has been hard at work preparing for the annual play and will present Our Town by Thornton Wilder in May.

Tickets are $5 each and are available at the door.

Per Wikipedia, Our Town is a three-act play created by American playwright Thornton Wilder in 1938. Described by Edward Albee as "the greatest American play ever written", it presents the fictional American town of Grover's Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens. It is an essential play about how we must embrace and appreciate the value of life itself.

May lunch menu is here!

Can you believe we finally had some warm weather? It was probably short-lived, but it was so refreshing to be able to wear shorts and have the windows open.

Anyway, here is the May hot lunch menu.

Junior & Senior Banquet is May 6

The Junior and Senior Banquet will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 6 in Fircrest.

The theme this year is "Starry Night."

The event will take place at the Roy H. Muprhy Community Center and dinner will be provided.

The event is only for juniors, seniors and guests. Tickets are available until April 28 in the high school office.
