UCSD DEM Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Friends –
On behalf of the UCSD Department of Emergency Medicine, I want to wish you all a happy holiday season. It is hard to believe its been nearly 3 years since the start of COVID – an unprecedented challenge that has changed so many things in our professional and personal lives perhaps forever. I am truly proud and honored to be a part of this department– our staff, faculty, residents, fellows, and students – all of whom have risen to the occasion to provide the very best care for our patients and community.
And as our clinical, educational, and research programs have evolved with the pandemic, we decided to update our annual newsletter to something more immediately accessible electronically, taking full advantage of the Internet and the web (and more specifically our DEM website). While It’s not quite Tik-Tok* (speaking of which, click above to see Dr. Glaucomflecken’s shout out to Emergency Medicine) we hope this this new format will allow us to provide you with frequent and regular updates on our work and continue to stay connected with our Department.
Here's to a happy 2023!
All the best,
Ted.
