SBIR/STTR Workshops Across TN
Launch Tennessee will host a series of workshops over the next two months covering the full portfolio of resources available to early-stage companies commercializing technology in Tennessee. These workshops will provide an in-depth look at SBIR/STTR federal grant opportunities, plus an abbreviated version of the Resource Overview content.

- Genetic Technologies for All Classrooms (GTAC): GTAC is a five-day national professional development academy at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology that prepares science educators to address high school level genetics, genomics, and biotech content such as cancer and clinical genomics, common complex disease, and agricultural genomics. Apply - SEMDA PitchRounds: Whether you are an early-stage company with seed funding or looking for expansion capital, the SEMDA PitchRounds program has a spot for you! SEMDA PitchRounds is held in conjunction with MedTech 2019. Companies will be divided into two groups: startup and seed companies; and later-stage companies. Lebanon High School biotechnology students made their way to the state capitol Wednesday where biotech teacher Melissa Bunch addressed the House Education Committee about the school’s biotechnology classes, the state’s only approved biotechnology program for high schools in Tennessee. Members of the Tennessee House of Representatives unveiled a health care reform package touted by sponsors as a "patient-centered, free market approach to transform healthcare in Tennessee." The National Cancer Institute’s investment in small business research grants has supported strong economic growth, including $9 billion in sales of new technologies. Veteran healthcare industry executives have launched Nashville, Tenn.-based ReVIDA Recovery Centers, a network of outpatient centers focused on treating opioid use disorder through a combination of medication and behavioral therapy.
