Emeritus Process Moved to Interfolio

In our ongoing effort to consolidate and improve our faculty lifecycle actions, we have transitioned the current paper Emeritus Request process to Interfolio.

We have created Emeritus Request case templates in the Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) module for each school. Moving forward, the Office of Academic Affairs & Provost will only accept Emeritus requests submitted through Interfolio. FAD vs. FRF Form

Departments hiring new faculty are required to complete the Faculty Appointment Details (FAD) form. The completed FAD should be uploaded in HCM at the time the hiring manager wants to "Create an Offer" in the system. The FAD, appointment letter, along with the candidate's CV, should be included in the "Create an Offer" stage, which will then route to the Provost's Office for approval. FADs are required for all faculty hires, including adjuncts. Staff who teach as adjuncts should also have a completed FAD form attached to the payment request in HCM, along with the staff member's CV.

The Faculty Reappointment Form (FRF) is for reappointing adjunct or visiting faculty only. This form should be attached in the Personnel Action Request in HCM at the time you update an existing faculty member's status. The FRF, reappointment letter, and the faculty member's current CV should be attached.

Upcoming Faculty Search Training

Look for an announcement soon about dates for faculty search training from the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, lead by Anneliese Singh in collaboration with associate provost Ana Lopez and assistant provost Kady Weingart.

These trainings will begin in April and will occur monthly. We will be inviting Deans, Associate Deans, search committee chairs, and search committee members to attend the first training. Reach out to Anneliese Singh for more information.

Interactive Reports Available from OAIR

A reminder that interactive reports on student enrollment, degrees awarded, and faculty counts are available and have been updated to include Fall 2020 census data. These interactive reports allow users to customize reports by selecting and filtering for data of particular interest (e.g. by semester, School, and student/degree level). The reports are available on the OAIR website. Please contact us with any questions or feedback.
