"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced."

- James Baldwin

As we in the CSLC work toward building more just and equitable communities and a more robust democracy for all, we believe that in order to make our world a better place, we also need to recognize where we are now, and how we have gotten here. In this spirit, we recognize and honor Black History (in February - and every other month and day of the year). Like James Baldwin, the great writer, philosopher and activist, said, in order to move forward we need to be willing to face who and where we are - with honesty, courage and grace. Join us in working together to make our world a better place!
