The perfect activity for children who love the water, but want to continue developing swimming skills, improving technique, endurance, and confidence. All four competitive strokes plus recreational strokes will be covered.
Ages: 6-13 years. MUST have completed Youth Stage 5 in swim lessons.
A deep water program using jogger belts. Easy on joints. Excellent for all muscular groups and cardiovascular system. This program incorporates a warm-up, extended aerobic workout, toning and cool down. Participants use aqua barbells, kickboards, and Hydrotone bells to tone and build upper body strength.
This program is an interval workout in water that will include plyometric work with exercises such as bouncing, skipping, jump squats and speed drills in shallow water. This is a fantastic way to get a dynamic workout with lots of energy while giving your joints less stress and some recovery from land work such as running and land plyometric drills. A water bottle is recommended.
