Love is in the air (and many other destinations)!
Dear Traveling Friends,
February is the month for love and what better place to celebrate your love than at one of Sandals resorts! I returned Sunday from Sandals Antigua where a few select travel advisors were invited to experience this all-inclusive deemed “the most romantic resort.” Brides Magazine calls Antigua the #1 destination for Honeymoons and this property has the best beach located right on Dickinson Bay. By all-inclusive, they really mean all-inclusive! So nice to jump on a sailboat, sip a signature cocktail, or reminisce over a romantic dinner, all at no extra charge. As a result of my connections with Sandals, enjoy some great incentives if you reserve your vacation at any Sandals or Beaches Resort before Valentine's Day. One client mentioned to me that Sandals was only for the young fit model types - I can assure you, in my older muck-less-than-perfect body, I felt right at home!
Check next month’s newsletter for more information on other romantic Sandals properties and the fabulous kid-friendly Beaches resorts.
Steve and I were fortunate to get our first vaccine, so we are looking forward to traveling a little wider afield before the year is over. It your plans are to stay in the US for the next few months, consider some out of the way places like Palm Island Resort, Florida…we did and loved it even in the cool of January.
Are you confused about where you can travel, when you can travel, and what the ever-changing  protocols are all about? Hope you’ll learn something from the CDC below.
Stay well and stay in touch!

IN THE KNOW... about International Travel

Starting Jan. 26, all air passengers entering the U.S. are required to get a viral test within three days before their flight to the U.S. and provide documentation to the airline they’re flying with of either a negative result for COVID-19 or proof that they’ve recovered from COVID-19.
The documentation can be a paper or electronic copy and the airline must confirm the negative result of every passenger before they board a flight to the U.S.
What does this mean for you?
Upon returning from Antigua, I experienced this with no issues. In fact, the test was paid for by the Sandals resort. This is actually great news that should give you an extra layer of security if you decide to travel internationally, and it assures you that those coming into our country will have a decreased chance of spreading the virus stateside.

Viking Adriatic Antiquities “Reboot”

Our group that was scheduled to go on this marvelous cruise in March of 2021 was rescheduled to October of 2022. The itinerary embarks and returns to Italy but sails to Greece, Crete, Croatia, Montenegro, and Ephesus. We have fifteen who moved their reservations and a few more who will re-join the group. Let me know if you'd like to see the complete itinerary. There is still room for YOU!

Holy Land 2021

On February 23 we will have a meeting at Trinity on the Hill to introduce our Holy Land trip once again. If you are interested in getting more information, please attend the meeting. We already have 20 plus who are excited to participate in this thought-provoking, educational, and spiritual journey.  Although cancelled in November of 2020, we are all looking forward to traveling to Israel (and some on to Egypt) November 1, 2021. Hidden Gem to Consider in Florida

Steve and I enjoyed a short visit to Florida’s Palm Island Resort in January. Accessible only by a short ferry ride, this island oasis is home to condos and private homes available to rent.
Palm Island Resort, located on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast between Sarasota and Naples, is the state’s only true out-island resort. There are no bridges or causeways to the island, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. The good news is there is enough to keep you entertained, but doing absolutely nothing is appealing as well. There is a delicious restaurant, a small gift shop, and a place to rent golf carts, bikes, or kayaks to explore. Tennis, pickleball, boating, and swimming are also activities we enjoyed, but the sunsets were the best time of the day! Let me know if you’d like to sample this bit of paradise as a couple, with friends, or with the whole family!

About Me!

I am Lauren Williams, owner of Trip Quest Travel, and have been a Travel Advisor for the past six years. I hold national designations as a Certified Cruise Counselor, a Signature Travel Expert, and a Verified Travel Advisor. Moving from three decades in education to becoming a travel consultant has caused me to shift from “The Doctor of Education” to “The Doctor of Travel.” My clients are often just like me – they want a rejuvenating vacation that teaches them about the world and the cultures around them. I love beautiful scenery, exploring new places, and learning something new every day! Aside from travel, I stay busy with my husband, Steve, and our four children and thirteen grandchildren. Staying active in the church and in our community feeds our souls as well. I love to play tennis, pickleball, and bridge when I am not helping clients plan that perfect trip! Because our world is so much smaller now, I am happy to work with clients wherever they might live…but by referral only. Hope you enjoy my monthly newsletter – let me know if there is something you’d like to know more about!
