Note from the Dean
A key element of the Owen’s School’s mission is the dissemination of thought leadership with impact. One way that is achieved is through our faculty’s many research articles like this week’s commentary by Professor Tim Vogus, published in Harvard Business Review, on how to mend work relationships. It also is achieved through the many seminars and conferences Owen faculty, staff, and students host each year. For example, this week Professor Friedman will host of panel of experts to discuss the business impact of Coronavirus (see below). It is also achieved by being an active participant in Nashville’s dynamic business environment. For example, next week Owen will participate with local bankers and investors to host Nashville’s Smart Business Dealmakers Conference (Feb. 27) that connects hundreds middle-market CEOs, investors, lenders, and M&A advisers (see below to register). In a single week, Owen is part of the business conversation locally, nationally, and globally. I call that impact!
Best,
Eric
