Advocacy: From Annapolis to DC! 📣 |
The Arc Montgomery County has been busy with advocacy - especially during this legislative session.
On March 12, people supported and employees from our chapter helped make up the almost 1,000 person rally "We Can't Go Back, We Won't Go Back" at Lawyer's Mall in Annapolis to urge legislators to save DD services. This is the second year in a row our community has faced devastating cuts.
On March 24, some from our chapter headed to the Disability Policy Seminar in Washington DC, visiting representatives and sharing stories with the offices of Rep. Jamie Raskin and Senator Angela Alsobrooks.
