Partners For Kids Unified Preferred Drug List (UPDL) for Ohio Medicaid Plans and the Pharmacy Coverage Updates, which highlights relevant changes to the UPDL, are now available on the Partners For Kids resources webpage under "Prescribing Resources."
- Updates and additions to the third quarter UPDL: Flovent® HFA is brand preferred, now that generic fluticasone propionate HFA is in the Marketplace. Pharmacies may need to use a DAW9 override to receive a paid claim (DAW9 is a 'substitution allowed insurance requests brand' override that can be used at the pharmacy).

New section: Constipation medications are now highlighted in the Partners For Kids version of the Ohio Medicaid UPDL. There is now a chewable form of Senna® laxative that is covered by all Ohio Medicaid plans. Check out the resource to see what specific product is covered!

Triple P Parenting
In June, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced a partnership with the Governor’s Children’s Initiative, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), and the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund to bring free parent education materials to Ohio families. According to the governor’s office, this program aligns with the Governor’s Children Services Transformation Advisory Council’s recommendation to “invest in services, training, and supports for parents.”
The Triple P program is available to all families in Ohio and is provided through a $3 million investment by The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund and ODJFS.
“I have been a supporter of Triple P and a population-level approach to positive parenting for over 20 years. Triple P has developed a tiered approach that allows families to access as little or as much information as they need when and where they want it. Online Triple P and the accompanying training for early care and education professionals will be tremendous resources for Ohioans. Encourage all of your families to explore Triple P Online,” said Dr. John C. Duby, MD, FAAP Dayton Children’s Vice President of Academic Affairs and Community Health.
Ohio families are encouraged to visit www.triplep-parenting.com/oh-en/triple-p/ to sign up for the program.

Did You Know?
The Primary Care Provider (PCP) change request form can be used to update the provider to whom a patient is attributed. The attribution process is fully handled through the managed care plans. However, patient choice is the first criterion that determines which provider the patient should be attributed. To ensure providers are receiving credit for their patients, the provider’s name must appear on the back of the patient’s Medicaid card. To update your patient’s Medicaid card, have the patient sign the PCP change request form and fax it to the associated Medicaid plan.
Partners For Kids has also made it easier to identify the kids needing to complete this process. On the new Partners For Kids provider portal, you will find a mismatched attribution report. This report identifies patients that receive care from your providers but are not attributed to your practice. Reach out to your Partners For Kids provider relations specialist at PFKProRelations@childrensdayton.org today if you would like to obtain access to the provider portal to review this report.
