The event is free to all current YSU students. There will be karaoke with music provided by a live band (Rock Capitol), giant games we know and love from childhood, and, as always, 'Not Your Granny's' Bingo. Enjoy a night of dancing, fun, and nostalgia to kick off the start of spring semester!

Changes at Counseling Services This Semester
As you may have seen in a recent email from Vice President for Student Affairs Eddie Howard, Student Counseling Services is piloting some changes in Spring 2020. This semester, Student Counseling Services will focus on consultation, outreach, training, assessment, and referral services in order to reach students in a more timely manner. Their staff will also now be available by appointment Tuesday and Wednesday evenings until 7:00pm.
Beginning this February they will expand their after-hours response, giving students direct access to a mental health professional by phone. To access the mental health professional, call the Student Counseling Services number (330-941-2299) and follow the voice prompts.
For students who know they want or need weekly, bi-weekly, or on-going psychotherapy, Student Counseling Services clinical staff will meet with students individually to discuss their specific needs and make recommendations as to the best resources for them.
Please check the "Scope of Care" document on their website for more information about what they do and do not provide.

2020 Census InformationAs you may or may not be aware, 2020 is a year in which the United States Census takes place. It is important you take part in being counted as it can determine a great deal of things for the area as well as the state.
| |
Why does this matter?
- The Census is used to determine redistricting and how electoral maps are drawn.
- The Census helps the government best determine how to distribute close to $675 BILLION in federal funding to help fund schools, hospitals, roads, public works, and other important programs.
- The Census is in the Constitution and is mandatory to take part in.

Questions? Concerns? Want to learn more? Join us February 27 in the Ohio Room in Kilcawley Center at 12:00pm or 4:00pm. In the meantime, visit the US Census Bureau YouTube page here.
