COVID-19 Rapid (Antigen) Testing and CLIA Waivers

The federal government requires that each community that performs COVID-19 rapid tests, which are antigen tests, have a CLIA waiver. Currently, only ~300 AL communities in NC have the CLIA waiver.

You can learn how to obtain a CLIA Certificate of Waiver here.

North Carolina has been given 9 million dollars to purchase antigen testing supplies and equipment for our assisted living communities, but in order to use the supplies and equipment, you must have the CLIA Waiver!
