Upswing In Sales Continues Despite Noticeable Decrease In Foot Traffic
Once again, we continue to see an increase in sales week after week. Even with a decline in consumer count, independent grocers reported same-stores sales were up 31.19 percent the last week of March and 30.04 percent the first week of April. Whereas, the foot traffic decline from 1.50 percent to 4.13 in the past two weeks.
Are consumers being more conscious on who goes to the stores? Can this be a sign of things returning to normalcy?
