North Florida Worlds of Work Introduces Students to Skilled Careers
|
North Florida Worlds of Work (WOW) provides an incredible hands-on career exploration experience for students in Tallahassee-Leon County. Now in its second year, WOW offers a unique opportunity to explore a range of professions in high-demand industries, helping to inspire future career choices and educational paths. Sponsored by the Office of Economic Vitality (OEV) and other key community partners, WOW connects students with local employers, industry experts, and educators in high-demand sectors like healthcare, construction, information technology, public safety, and more.
At WOW, students engage with interactive exhibits, work with specialized tools, and talk directly with professionals in various fields. By providing these real-world insights, the event supports workforce development in the region and addresses critical skills gaps, preparing the next generation of workers for success. This event showcases our commitment to nurturing a skilled workforce while building meaningful connections between students, educators, and employers.
