The class of 2025 is the largest first-year class in the College’s history, with more than 1,500 new undergraduates. After moving in, they attended convocation on the River Campus and participated in Wilson Day, an annual day of service for first-year students.
As a Japanese American whose parents were immigrants, jazz has always resonated with Yamashita. He expresses his passion for jazz as a pianist and a journalist who is focused on telling stories that give voice to the underrepresented and often unheard.

Gateways Music Festival Orchestra announces Carnegie Hall debut as part of spring 2022 festival
In Rochester from April 18 to April 20, 2022, the festival will feature recitals, talks, a film screening, and a panel discussion before moving to New York City for a similar series of events from April 21 to 24.
