Myriad Sensors, the creators of PocketLab, and their partner, TERC, a nonprofit STEM education research and development company, are looking for high school teachers of Earth science, environmental science, biology, or health to participate in a usability study of a new sensor and classroom materials focusing on urban heat islands. This study is part of an NIH-funded research and development project.
Teachers will be sent a PocketLab sensor and some materials to review. They will participate in a one-hour interview with a team member from PocketLab or TERC and will complete a survey about the usability and engagement of the materials.
Interviews will take place virtually at a mutually agreeable time during the period November 13 to December 1, 2023. They will also ask you to refer 1 or 2 students to participate in a student version of the usability study which will take place later in December. In appreciation of your time and honest feedback, you will receive a $50 gift card.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the interest survey by clicking here. You will also be able to review the informed consent for research materials from that site. Thank you for your interest!
