Dear Waukesha County 4-H Families,
We hope that you and your family are doing well. Spring has arrived! April was packed with activities, projects, and plenty of learning and fun. Take a moment to explore this newsletter and see all that’s happening in Waukesha County 4-H.
During National Volunteer Week (April 19-25) we proudly celebrated the dedication of the adult volunteers who support youth development as club and group leaders, project and activity leaders, and committee members. Your service is what makes Waukesha County 4-H thrive.
4-H volunteers are essential to the success of our programs. Because of you, young people gain confidence, build lifelong skills & friendships, and find a sense of belonging that extends beyond their 4‑H experience. One our greatest strengths in Waukesha County is the dedication and leadership of our 4-H volunteers. Simply put, 4-H would not be what it is without you.
This year, more than 150 adult volunteers enrolled and were approved to serve in Waukesha County 4-H. Please know that your time, commitment and passion for supporting youth are truly appreciated. Thank you for everything you do for 4-H and the young people we serve.
We are also excited to recognize Caitlin Stevenson (pictured above), who was nominated for recognition by Sarah Tetzlaff for her outstanding dedication to Waukesha County 4-H. “Caitlin helps both at the club and county level for various activities. At the club level, she has helped support cupcake decorating, charcuterie, and wreath making. At the county level, she graciously supports Rabbit Hopping, cupcake decorating, and the Youth Leadership Group, and she assists with many fun activities during county project sessions. Without Caitlin’s contributions, oftentimes behind the scenes and unnoticed, we would not be as successful as we are. Let’s show Caitlin some love and thank her for all she does for our 4-H community!”
