Register Now For the 2025 Great Mansfield Cleanup!
Spring has officially arrived, which means it's time for the 18th annual Great Mansfield Cleanup.
Keep Mansfield Beautiful's annual town-wide cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A volunteer appreciation pizza party will be held immediately afterward from 11:30-1:00 p.m. on the Mansfield South Common.
Pre-registration is required by no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16. If you miss this deadline, you can report to the Mansfield South Common starting at 8:30 a.m. on April 26. However, our planning process is much easier if you pre-register and tee shirts can not be guaranteed, so please register today.During last year’s cleanup, more than 500 volunteers, including groups from the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, local religious groups, community groups, and businesses removed nearly two tons of litter and debris from roadsides, parks, and school grounds. To cover the expense of running the annual cleanup, Keep Mansfield Beautiful is also seeking financial donations from local businesses and residents. Donations can be made online via www.keepmansfieldbeautiful.com. Mansfield’s event is part of the statewide Great Massachusetts Cleanup program led by Keep Massachusetts Beautiful. Locally, North Attleboro, Attleboro, Easton, Plainville, Rehoboth, Walpole, and Wrentham are also planning Great Massachusetts Cleanup events this spring.
We hope you will join us and help keep Mansfield litter-free!

Recycling Tip: Finding a Lower-Cost Way to Recycle Your Old Mattress
New regulations went into effect that aim to promote recycling and reduce trash disposal across Massachusetts. Notably, mattresses have now been banned from disposal.
Mansfield residents can contact HandUp, a private company, to make an appointment for curbside pickup of a mattress and/or box spring or call 774-271-8744. HandUp offers curbside pickup once a month. The charge is $50 per unit. A mattress and box spring would cost $100.
If you are buying a new mattress, contact your retailer to see if they will take back the old one for no charge. Many retailers that offer delivery provide some form of take-back program.
If your mattress is still in good condition, it may be possible to donate it. Many furniture banks are seeking mattresses. You can search for donation options using MassDEP’s Beyond The Bin directory.
