IT Services Helps to Ease Technology Worries

at Fall 2024 Orientation


Throughout June, IT Services attended the Orientation Resource Fair and presented to the parents of incoming students, giving them information about us and the technology here at Miami. With 18 orientation sessions and 18 parent presentations, we were able to meet directly with students and parents, answering any questions and giving them information about the technology here at Miami.

If you haven’t noticed yet, you soon will: IT Services has a new website! We have been working with University Communications and Marketing (UCM) over the past several months to design, migrate, and clean up the content on our site.

CrowdStrike bug causes Windows devices to bluescreen


IT teams have been working hard to mitigate the impact of the outage caused by the CrowdStrike cybersecurity software. This is a timeline of the communications sent to our University partners and users since the incident began Friday morning.
