Digital Accessibility: First, Learn the Basics

OIT has launched their new digital accessibility hub – sharing resources, tools and guidelines related to the April 24, 2026, requirements for digital content accessibility. We are encouraging everyone to start with learning the basics! Just as teachers introduce core concepts before taking on more complex information, you can learn the accessibility basics in under an hour.

Action: Complete OIT’s Accessibility Basics self-paced training (approximately 30 minutes).

This foundational knowledge is your most valuable tool. Once completed, you can use the course content and DELTA’s Digital Accessibility Guide as quick, reliable references whenever you need to check a key principle or definition. Getting this initial step done will make every subsequent action faster and simpler.
