1100 Spruce Parking Garage Reopening: Oct. 16 |
The 1100 Spruce parking garage will begin a phased reopening on Friday, Oct. 16, with parking available on all levels, including all ADA spaces.
Major renovations are complete, including structural repairs to support the garage’s long-term safety and durability. Crews uncovered unexpected structural issues during construction, adding about 15 days to the schedule. The additional time allowed crews to address the issues properly.
What to expect during reopening:
|
- Parking: All levels will open Oct. 16.
-
Elevators: Both elevators will remain out of service due to supply chain delays. Installation will be completed as soon as parts arrive, and an update will be shared when they’re operational.
- Glass enclosure and skylight: Remaining work will continue after opening.
-
Payment and permits: The garage remains gateless. Register your vehicle with Metropolis before parking. Permit holders and enterprise account users should confirm their 11th & Spruce assignment in their Metropolis account or app.
|
Construction, cleaning and finishing work will continue after opening. Please follow barricades, posted pedestrian routes and signs.
Thank you for your patience throughout the renovation. These improvements are an important investment in the garage and downtown Boulder.

Under Senate Bill 20-200, Colorado businesses that have been operating for at least two years and have five or more employees are required to offer a qualified retirement savings plan or participate in an eligible program. Businesses that do not meet the requirement may face financial penalties beginning in 2027. Employers must certify with the Colorado Department of the Treasury that they offer a qualifying plan.
