A common method of grading discussions is to grade students' initial posts and then grade their responses to classmates. On November 16, 2024, Canvas will release an update to simplify grading discussions by adding the option to enable graded checkpoints. Graded checkpoints allow instructors to set multiple due dates or checkpoints for graded discussions to manage stages like initial posts and replies. Learn more by reading the recent Canvas release notes.
