Help give a happy holiday to families in need with CHiPs For Kids Toy Drive on Friday,December 4. Donate NEW and UNWRAPPED toys between 4:30 am to 7 pm at Cal Expo's Main Gate (California letters).
KCRA 3, the California Highway Patrol, and the CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive have been helping to make the holidays brighter for children in our community for over 15 years.
Housewarming for the Homeless Donation Drive Saturday, December 12
On Saturday, December 12, Sacramento Self Help Housing will be hosting their 3rd annual Housewarming for the Homeless Donation Drive at Cal Expo. Donations will be accepted at the Cal Expo's Main Gate (California letters) from 8 am to 1 pm.
This holiday season, help them assist persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by donating linens and small appliances. Each donation will go directly to furnishing a home for a recently homeless individual or family in the community.
Last year, Friends of the California State Fair awarded 26 students $44,000 in scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year. These students represent 20 California cities.
Foothills Christmas Trees is open daily in Lot D (East Gate entrance). These hand-selected trees are grown and freshly cut from the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon.
