Winter Commencement 2022

Honoring our Mid-year Graduates
Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022
1 p.m. (MT)
Shove Memorial Chapel (Colorado College campus)
Winter Commencement 2022, set for Sunday, Dec. 18, is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate those students who complete their undergraduate studies prior to the May Commencement ceremony. This event may be especially meaningful for those students who are unable to participate in May Commencement activities, however, participation in Winter Commencement does not exclude students from participating in the May Commencement ceremony.
Winter Commencement is open to families and guests of graduates, as well as all current CC faculty, staff, and students. Students who have applied to graduate and their families will receive a formal invitation in early December.
Guests may also RSVP and request special accommodations by contacting Brenda Soto at bsoto@coloradocollege.edu or (719) 389-6265.

Campus Activities—Block Breaks

Did you know? Activities are offered every block break and during extended breaks for students staying on campus!

The Office of Campus Activities, in conjunction with many campus programming partners*, puts together a wide variety of fun, FREE (or inexpensive) activities for your student to take advantage of should they be staying on campus and in town during block break. These activities are designed to help students rest, relax, and rejuvenate as well as (re)connect with themselves, each other, and the local area. These activities are shared with students via the Block Break Digest email, posted to the Campus Activities website, and advertised on various campus Instagram pages.
*Find out more about programming partners and the variety of offerings on the Campus Activities website. If your student has suggestions or ideas for events, or needs support getting connected, encourage them to reach out to campusactivities@coloradocollege.edu.

Housing for Rising Seniors

Heads-up on Housing for Class of 2024
Colorado College has a very limited number of housing spaces on campus for seniors each year. In order to assist all rising seniors with the housing selection process, and to allow time for students to secure off-campus housing in the area, detailed information will be emailed to students next week, with senior housing selection completed by the end of Block 4.
Please encourage your rising senior to complete the Senior Housing Interest for 2023-24 survey included in that email! If students have additional questions following the Housing email/survey, they can contact housing@coloradocollege.edu or visit the Housing website for the most up-to-date information.

Career Center

Coming soon: Colorado Partnered Virtual Career and Internship Fair, Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Encourage your student to register and attend the Colorado Partnered Virtual Career Fair. This collaborative event provides students and alums with career and internship opportunities across the state, nation, and globe. During this event, students can video chat 1-on-1 with employers that are looking for talented and skilled future team members. Companies will also be hosting group sessions where students can jump on an info. session-type video call with some of their peers to learn more about company culture and the types of roles they are looking at hiring. Students can check out the over 140+ attending employers (more are added weekly) and register for the fair in Handshake. (Students can access Handshake through the Career Center site, or their CC single sign-on page.)
