Upcoming part 2 Online Orientation modules that will launch in July will prepare students for Miami University's learner-centered academic advising system, in which students are given opportunities to make their own decisions and steadily gain ownership over their college experience. Students must complete Online Orientation modules about Academics in order to meet with an academic advisor and register for courses.
Undergraduate students can expect to learn about liberal education, the Global Miami Plan, major requirements and academic exploration before scheduling an appointment with academic advisors. A course registration appointment with an academic advisor will happen remotely in late July/early August before the start of in person orientation.
ACE students can expect to receive an email in their Univerity email inbox about meeting with an academic advisor and registering for courses.
