Saying Goodbye and Good Luck
Dear friends and colleagues,
At the end of December, I am stepping down after seven years of serving on the Board of Trustees of the OD Network and completing my term as Chair of the Board.  It has been an exciting and invigorating time to be working with so many of you in building the OD Network into the wonder that it has become today.
We set out to make OD “central to creating effective and healthy human systems in a sustainable world.” (OD Network Vision for the Field)
As I look at where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I think that the OD Networkand the field, overall—is in a better place.

Regional News
At the 2015 OD Network | IODA Annual Conference in Portland, Ore., 14 regional network leaders from across the U.S., Canada, Taiwan and Myanmar met to discuss best practices and concerns in running their networks.
These meetings are held at each OD Network annual conference, and detailed notes have been shared with the attendees. If you have questions or would like a copy of the notes, contact OD Network and they will put you in touch with the Regional Connector for your area. These OD Network volunteers help make connections between regional network leaders and as well as providing resources from the OD Network.
Here are some of the best practices that the regional leaders shared:
  • Hold monthly meetings with high quality, interactive content
  • Gather feedback from the members about the topic matter and format of the meetings
  • Have either a portion of each meeting—or part of the full meetings—dedicated to networking and social connections between the members and attendees

Why do women often feel belittled, betrayed or sabotaged by other women in the workplace? "The New Rules for Women: Revolutionizing the Way Women Work Together" (Third Bridge Press; September 2014) delves into this vexing and vital question. Based on her original research into women’s relationships, communication and expectations at work, Dr. Anne Litwin reveals startling paradoxes that spur misunderstandings, conflict and resentment between women on the job.

Beyond shedding light on the problem, Dr. Litwin offers workable solutions to help women develop more supportive relationships with female colleagues at every level—for the sake of their own job satisfaction and their organization’s success.

Call for MSOD Thesis Participants
My name is Arielle Threlkeld-Sullivan, and I am a current MSOD student at Pepperdine University in the midst of completing my graduate thesis. My research centers on OD practitioner values and the impact on behavior regarding the natural environment.
I’m interested in connecting with OD practitioners passionate about the environment, who are working in roles close to environmental issues.
My study involves two brief assessments and a 60-minute interview to further reflect on the life experiences and perspectives of these participants. The hopes of the study are to highlight the factors that contribute to one’s position and to leverage these factors in the development of future OD practitioners.
Please reach out to Arielle via email if you are interested in participating.
