February Spotlight

National School Counseling Week 2025 is February 3-7, focusing public attention on the superhuman contributions of school counselors all over our great country.

This month, we’re highlighting some of the resources available at UCanGo2.org that can give Oklahoma’s counselors some extra help and hopefully a little time to grab another cup of coffee.

Our college access workbooks for high school and middle school students provide valuable information about planning, preparing and paying for college. They can be used in a classroom setting, or broken into units to hand out in the classroom. Students can also find the workbooks in the High School and Middle School Educators’ sections at UCanGo2.org.

Take advantage of the free materials available in our College Planning Toolkit, available in the Educators section at UCanGo2.org. Pick and choose the resources and educational games that you need to enhance your college access efforts throughout the year.

Millions of FAFSAs have already been submitted for the 2025-26 academic year, and they keep rolling in! Encourage your seniors to open their new accounts at StudentAid.gov a few days before they submit their FAFSAs. And be sure to contact the UCanGo2 Outreach Team if you’re interested in hosting a free FAFSA presentation or workshop.
