Dear NYU Parents and Families,
A warm welcome to new members of the NYU community, and welcome back to our returning families! As we prepare to welcome students back to campus we wanted to update you on what you can expect and share some upcoming deadlines.

NYU Welcome
This fall promises to bring a new beginning for all of us together as a community. NYU Welcome features an exciting variety of in-person and virtual programs, events, and initiatives to support all new and returning students transitioning to the start of the academic year.
Your student will receive information about how to access the full list of events on NYU Mobile next week.

Residence Hall Move-In
Earlier this month, NYU's Residential Life and Housing Services hosted an informational webinar regarding the move-in process and on-campus living. If you missed it, you can watch a recording online.
Move-in dates are August 18 and 19 for students that need to quarantine and August 27-29 for all other students.
For move-in, only one helper at a time may accompany their student inside the residence hall. For everyone's safety, that person must EITHER be vaccinated or have been tested within the previous 72 hours of move-in.

Parent and Family Welcome Webinar
The Center for Student Life will host a Parent and Family Welcome on Tuesday, August 31, at 7:30pm ET.
This webinar is primarily meant for parents and families of undergraduate students who are new to the on-campus experience. The program will include remarks from University leadership and tips from student leaders on how to support your student during their transition.

NYU Alumni and Parents Weekend
Join NYU parents and families from your home to hear updates from School Deans, Faculty, and NYU experts; connect to resources; and celebrate the largest alumni network of any private university in the United States! NYU Alumni and Parents Weekend will be held virtually this year from October 21-24. Registration and more details will be shared soon.

University Buildings and Events
In the midst of an ongoing pandemic, the safety and health of the NYU community continue to guide our decision-making. At this point, parents and families are not permitted to enter NYU buildings, aside from helping with residence hall move-in. NYU Welcome events are only open to students.
