Native & Indigenous American History Month
|
Native & Indigenous American History Month honors the history, culture, and contributions of American Indians and Alaska Natives. We continue to be inspired by our SHU Reads! book The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by indigenous scientist and author Robin Wall Kimmerer. Here are some upcoming events inspired by Kimmerer's ethic of reciprocity, sustainability, interconnectedness, and gratitude:

The Sister Rose Thering Fund will commemorate Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass with speakers, music and reflection on an event many consider the first atrocity of the Holocaust.
