Welcome Dr. Greg Stewart
Greg Stewart, MD, has joined Partners For Kids as an associate medical director. Dr. Stewart is a pediatric emergency medicine physician who also has a faculty appointment at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is currently the medical director of the Nationwide Children’s Lewis Center Emergency Department. He has experience leading and developing quality improvement projects within the emergency department and in collaboration with other subspecialties. Partners For Kids Medicaid Updates Webinar Recording Now Available
The Next Generation of Ohio Medicaid Managed Care went live on February 1 and re-enrollment for Medicaid members resumes in April 2023. Partners For Kids hosted a webinar in March to provide an overview of the changes, discuss how changes may impact community providers and their members, and offer resources and tools for navigating these changes.

Partners For Kids Childhood Asthma Project
Partners For Kids team members collaborated with data scientists from Nationwide Children’s Hospital to develop a tool designed to assist primary care providers in managing the care of children with asthma. Check out this feature on the project.

Partners For Kids 5th annual Administrative Staff Retreat: “How a Practice Administrator Can Impact a Practice’s Success
Registration is now open for the 2023 Partners For Kids Administrative Staff Retreat taking place on June 9 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This year’s topic is “How a Practice Administrator Can Impact a Practice’s Success” and will feature speakers from Dayton Children’s Hospital, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Partners For Kids. The retreat will be an interactive, virtual event. Presenters will discuss the measure of interpersonal behavior, developing a growth mindset, leveraging the unique skillsets of your team members, and the importance of data and quality improvement for your practice. Register by May 9 to guarantee a swag bag. We look forward to seeing you there!

Updated PCP Change Request Form Now Available

Quarter 2 Project ECHO Registration Now Open!
Registration is open now for Behavioral Health in Primary Care Project ECHO Advanced series. This series will focus on eating disorders and ADHD. Weekly sessions start April 4 and end June 13.

NEW Prescribing Guidelines for ADHD, Asthma, Insomnia and Nicotine Dependence
There are resources available to assist with managing ADHD, asthma, insomnia, and nicotine dependence on the Partners For Kids resource page. Content includes:

Guidance for dosing and titrating medications used to treat ADHD, including clinical pearls and recommendations for management of side effects
- An interactive asthma pathway with guidance for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along with patient education materials
- Evaluation and treatment recommendations for managing pediatric insomnia
- Recommendations for assessment and treatment of nicotine dependence

It is expected that some people will receive notification beginning April 1, 2023, that their Medicaid coverage is ending, with an official loss of coverage on May 1. The process will continue in the coming months. You can download materials to distribute in your practice to make sure your patient families update their contact info. Access the materials.
