WELCOME TO SPRING SEMESTER 2026!

Yes, it started with a bit of a false start due to severe winter weather. But we're now officially into spring semester 2026 and excited to remind everyone about the university's vision moving forward — including how you can help us build the brightest future by following SBU's ABCs. We follow up President Goldsmith's vision with a snapshot of 2025 story highlights. And, as always, see the ways you can be involved in all that's happening and share recent pride points we've achieved, thanks to our exceptional campus community.

Be Involved and 'Healthy Up'
Eat well, be well! Join the 2026 Stony Brook CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). If one of your New Year's resolutions is to 'healthy up' this year, it's not to soon to put that plan into action. Coordinated by the Nutrition Division, the Stony Brook CSA is a weekly fresh, organic produce farm share in collaboration with Natural Earth Organic Farms, located in Calverton.

The program starts in June and runs for 20 weeks. The cost to join is $710 (~$35 per week).  CSA members can pick up their produce at The Stony Brook Heights Rooftop Farm located on Level 3 of the Health Sciences Tower.  The farm also offers other CSA sites across Long Island.

Consider splitting the share with a co-worker or friend — it’s a great way to participate together and enjoy farm-fresh food this summer!

Additional Fruit Share! Natural Earth Farms is collaborating with Briermere Farms to offer an optional fruit share for 15 weeks! Participants will receive approximately four pounds of fruit per week starting in July. The cost of the fruit share is $165.

To learn more about the CSA or to join, visit the Natural Earth Organic Farms website, or email the Stony Brook Medicine CSA Coordinator Annemarie Ng, MS, RD, CDCES, CDN (annemarie.ng@stonybrookmedicine.edu).
