Spanish Debate Opportunity
The Boston Debate League and the Harvard National Tournament encourage any Spanish-speaking debaters to participate in the Debate en Español event online on February 18-19. The format will be British Parliamentary (BP), the most common format used for those debating in Spanish at the college level, and students will be judged by experienced college debaters. For those unfamiliar with the format, BP levels the playing field by minimizing prep time and changing topics every round, while also powermatching and combining students from multiple teams on the same side in a debate round. Many students are trying this format for the first time ever at this tournament. More information »

Linking Tabroom.com Accounts: Save Time, Prepare for Districts
There are two account types under the NSDA umbrella: a user's account on the NSDA website at speechanddebate.org and their account on Tabroom.com. When the two accounts are linked, student points can be autoposted from Tabroom.com. This time-saving tool allows coaches to hit confirm for autoposted points rather than manually entering them. Linking accounts is also necessary when district tournaments are held through Tabroom.com, as it enables Tabroom to identify that a student has met the eligibility criteria and therefore allows the student to be registered for a district tournament.
