Upcoming Changes to the Biographical Sketch and Other Support Format Page for Due Dates on or after May 25, 2021
NIH has instituted major changes to the biosketch and Other Support documents. Key changes in the biosketch include revisions to sections A., B., and D.  Other Support updates include a separation of funded projects from in-kind support.  A signature block has been added for the PI to certify their effort.  Additional supporting documentation will be required for foreign activities and resources. Full details with updated Biosketch Form and OS format availble here: NOT-OD-21-073 and OSP updates.
Planning a proposal submission in the next 2-3 months?
In an effort to better serve you, the PMI grants team requests that PIs and Fellows notify us as far in advance as possible, of submission plans.  This ensures ample time to complete departmental requirements and also route to OSP for review, by their deadline.   For reference, here is our Grants Submission Timeline which includes key milemarkers, OSP deadlines, and corresponding action-items.

CoeusWeb: A new way to submit!
OSP has developed a new tool within the CoeusWeb application to submit proposals directly to grants.gov.  This is in addition to the traditional method using Coeus Premium.  OSP created a short PDF guide including screenshots, of what the PI will see during the process. The grants team will continue to be available to support PIs during the final approval and submission.
Notice on Policy Regarding Minimum Level of Effort for NCI-Funded Awards
In addition to previously established policies for specific grant mechanisms that have been described in funding opportunity announcements (FOAs), Principal Investigators (PIs), including Project Leaders on multi-project grants, will be required to commit a minimum level of effort to be eligible for NCI funding through R01, U01, P01, and R21 grant mechanisms.  The minimum levels of effort are available via this link: NOT-CA-20-047.
