Bike to Work Day - Friday, May 19
Bike to Work Day Registration - Now Open!
The warmer weather has us excited to start biking to work and to start gearing up for Bike to Work Day in Downtown Bethesda!
This year's event will be held on Friday, May 19 from 6:30-9:00 a.m. on Reed Street, across from Barnes and Noble in Downtown Bethesda.
We will have free food from Harris Teeter and Silver, a DJ, and great prizes such as a gift certificate from Bethesda Court Hotel and the grand prize: a brand new bike from Griffin Cycle! Nick Griffin and his team from Griffin Cycle will also be on-hand performing bike maintenance.

Ride On Wants to Hear From You!
Whether you use Montgomery County's Ride On bus service or not, Montgomery County wants to hear from you.
They are asking for public feedback in the form of two surveys.
Take this survey if you DO NOT use Ride On to assist them in the creation of a new marketing campaign.
Take this survey if you DO use Ride On buses to get around Montgomery County.

  • Wednesday, April 5:  BTS at the Greater Bethesda Chamber's Big Event at Glen Echo, 4:00-7:00 pm
  • Thursday, April 6: From 11:30-1:30, Recycling Event at 7910 Woodmont Ave.
  • Monday, April 17: From 10:30-1:30, Earth Day Fair at 7200 Wisconsin Ave.
  • Wednesday, May 3: From 11:30-1:30, Bike to Work Day registration event at the Plaza Level of the Bethesda Metro Station (the corner of Old Georgetown Rd. and Wisconsin Ave.)
  • Saturday, May 6: Confident City Cycling Class starting at 11:00-2:00 at the B-CC Rescue Squad, 5020 Battery Lane, Bethesda
  • Thursday, May 11: Bike to Work Day registration event at Veteran's Park. We will be joined by Silver, who will provide FREE snack and sodas from 11:30-1:30.
  • Friday, May 12: Breakfast on the Capital Crescent Trail provided by Silver from 6:30-8:30 at the trailhead near Bethesda Ave.

If you or someone you know works in Downtown Bethesda and is a super bike commuter, we want to hear about it! Nominate yourself or that person for a Bike Spirit Award! 
The awards will be presented at Downtown Bethesda's Bike to Work Day Pit Stop on Friday, May 19.

SMILE! You May be on Camera!
Montgomery County Department of Transportation is conducting a parking study. To assist with the study, temporary cameras have been installed in many Bethesda garages and will remain there until April 7.
