During our April 24 video call last week, we joyfully announced that, through your generosity, the Donor Match opportunity was fulfilled! God worked through our community, like-minded foundations, and generous donors to not only meet our $12MM goal, but to exceed it by $90K.
Meeting this milestone ensures our ability to finance our property closing, sets us up to avoid taking out any long-term debt, and fulfills every need the school has for occupancy and executing our mission of providing a living education, centered on Christ.
Since then, gifts continue to come in, for which we are grateful. We now have about $900K to go by June 1 in order to fulfill the "wants" — educational enhancements — that Andrew mentioned on the call. These things will further enhance our children's educational experience at the new building and include a play area with ample nature space, updated lighting fixtures, art room amenities like a double sink and kiln, and a student and community gathering area in the atrium.
As always, we continue to appreciate as much cash as possible prior to closing so that we can take out as little short term debt as possible.
